What to Expect

Throughout the 23 week school year, a trained Home Visitor brings free educational toys and books for your child to keep.
Visits are 30 minutes long twice a week and can be scheduled at your convenience, day or early evening.
You'll learn creative ways to read and play with your child and become actively involved in your child's education.

Who We Help

Families with a child 18-48 months in Falmouth, Woods Hole or Mashpee. We work together to ensure language isn't a barrier.

Meet Our Home Visitors

Christine Bengston is a trained Home Visitor for the ParentChild+ Program. Christine has a master's degree in Early Childhood Education. She has taught kindergarten for over 17 years and enjoys working with families with young children.

Patricia Dale is a trained Home Visitor for the ParentChild+ Program. Pat has a master's degree in Communications Disorders and worked as a speech-language pathologist in the Falmouth Public Schools for 30 years.

Melissa Dyer is a trained Home Visitor for the ParentChild+ Program. Melissa has an associate degree in Early Childhood Education and directed early education programs throughout her 20-year career. She is a mother of four and her professional and personal experiences deeply inform her commitment to supporting children and families.

Nancy Fitzgerald is a trained Home Visitor for the ParentChild+ Home Based Child Care (HBCC) Program. Nancy has a bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education and a master's degree in Early Childhood Education. She has taught every age from preschool through college including the Early Childhood Program at Falmouth High School for 15 years.

Lori Hoehlein is a trained Home Visitor for the ParentChild+ Program. Lori has a bachelor's of science degree in Early Childhood Education and a master's degree in Reading Education. She has taught preschool, kindergarten and first grade.

Caroline Pettenati is a trained Home Visitor for the ParentChild+ Program. Caroline has a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a master's degree in Special Education. She brings over a decade of experience as a teacher, instructional coach and K-5 assistant principal with a specialization in reading instruction.

María Shinkle is a trained Home Visitor for the ParentChild+ Program. María was born and raised in Argentina and worked as a dance and aerobics teacher until she moved to Cape Cod with her two sons in 2001. For over a decade Maria has been facilitating Spanish immersion classes at preschools and camps across the Cape.
